Can anyone tell me what the amazing creators of the S4 were thinking, for me to end up with 47 Apps running in the background, taxing my resources and eating up my battery in quicktime ?

Maybe I don't understand the question fully and I'm certainly not an expert...but someone here, I think, recommended a Package Disabler for any Samsung (probably one for any brand). It is an app that will identify "bloatware" and disable it from your phone.

Is your phone running any slower as a result? I have at least 47 apps running on my S4 and it is running great.
There is a cure, but it's risky. Not for the feint of heart.
