Help S5 and uconnect

I just purchased a 2014 dodge charger And just got my galaxy s5 from att. I am having a problem getting the uconnect next to recognize my phone, every time I plug it in it says device not recognized. But the Bluetooth will work for making calls and playing my music through Bluetooth but I would really like the ability to play my music via USB.

We have a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country that also has uConnect. I believe that USB port is for uploading music to your on-board storage (internal hard drive) or for uploading newer GPS map data, not for streaming music. I could be wrong though since I haven't read the manual in a while.
