S5 Boot Partition error post-Lollipop

Hi

My S5 has started throwing an error and freezing when starting up

Boot Recovery Mode
Check Boot Partitions
sbl1 partition does not exist
ODIN mode

The only way to resolve it is to remove the battery then it starts fine. This is about 3 days after getting the Lollipop upgrade down from O2.

Anyone else had this and ideas how to resolve it? Is it related to Lollipop?

Thanks in advance

Si

It sounds as though you may have a corrupt/bad download of the update. You can re-install the O2 Lollipop firmware by downloading it, see below, and flashing it via Odin as per the instructions and video in the links if #1.11 of 35 Galaxy S5 models - know yours???

Thanks Ironass. I actually connected to Samsung Kies to look at backing it up first and it said there was a firmware update, i've put this on and restarted phone about 5 times since and not had a problem. I'm not going to count my chickens quite yet, but will report back if this has sorted

Update - later version of firmware had same issue. O2 had me factory reset it which i knew wouldn't sort it as wouldn't touch OS. Had a big of an argument with them about getting a replacement, but delivering me a brand new one tomorrow....and I won't be putting Lollipop on, i'll go back to my "mute and notifications" again thank you very much :-)
