S5 Camera lens zoom

I'm sure this has been asked and answered somewhere but my search terms seem to fall short!

Simple question:

How the heck do I use the zoom function on the S5 camera? I know it must be simple and obvious but I can't find a button or icon that will zoom in!

HELP!

Again, I apologize for taking up space for this but it has made me crazy!

The Zoom in and out feature is "Pinch to Zoom". Like when you're trying to zoom into text on a website.

Not on Verizon... Volume key takes a pic with my S5 on Verizon.

Well my point was some carriers have it some don't

Yay i now have this, had an update this morning, this is for Three in the UK.

More annoyingly though, when the power saving is on it says so in notification bar, takes up space and i dont know how to get rid of it. Also does the same when background data is restricted :/
