Help S5 color

I just bought a galaxy S5, and something that bothers me is that the top bar color (the battery, wifi, connection) is grey? i was wondering if there is any way to turn the top bar green again? i think the grey is really depressing and i would like to have the green back.

They're usually white/grey on kitkat, that's not really a Samsung issue.

If you don't like it you can void your warranty by rooting your device and installing exposed and tweaking it.

The Nova launcher allows a tranparent bar on top, FYI. I forget if root is necessary though.

If I understand you correctly, its gray when those options are turned off, but green when they are turned on.
