It appears the S5 doesn't work with the Sprint Airave.
Called Sprint and they suggested manually changing to CDMA while near the Airave and then back to LTE or Auto when leaving.
Otherwise, even after updating the "profile" - the S5 doesn't automatically pair with the Airave.
Since Sprint has announced plans to enable WiFi calling on the S5, it's probably not worthwhile to pursue getting Airave support working on the S5.
Until then, I've given up on this - have disconnected the Airave and try to find a spot in my house that has enough signal for the phone to work - until WiFi calling is enabled.
