I'm thinking of buying a new Galaxy S5 to use with AT&T; however, I'm also wary of the often slow pace of AT&T updates as well as all their bloatware. Should I consider a non-AT&T variant? I want 32 GB or 64 GB in black.
What are the pros and cons with respect to:
*Software patching/updates (Do I get OTA updates with non-AT&T. If not, what is the update process?)
*Speed on the network
I assume with a non-AT&T variant I won't be stuck with all the stupid AT&T apps. Is there also an FM Radio?
Can all variants use the wireless charging backplate that Samsung sells separately?
Anything else I may be overlooking?
Finally, how do I spec the model number for non-AT&T 32 GB or 64 GB version? I saw SM-G900F, but I'm not sure how to call out the upgraded storage.
Thanks!
