Stop moaning... you've had a Stagefright 1.0 patch and a mega locked down and unrootable bootloader on your old firmware. What more do you want?

I'm not sure which one is but I heard some of 5.1.1 updates can't root, I've SM-G900T1 which is Metro PCS is anyone knows about this new updates? It can be root or not after update?

Just looking in, but it "seems to me" that the model "F" gets a lot more updates, and more frequently than others.

That's correct old boy!

See #1.3 of 41 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide. I am on my 7th Lollipop update*** since the end of February. This is why, considering that this is the worldwide model, that there are so few complaint posts.

Statistically, to-date on Lollipop, my phone has received 3X as many actual firmware updates, (where the firmware changelist has increased), than the Verizon model.

*** Make that the 8th Lollipop update since the end of February. See, below.

Samsung have begun rolling out the latest security updates to the Samsung Galaxy S5. Samsung promised regular updates in response to new Android threats and have been issuing a regular update to their phones. See, Galaxy S5 gets the S6 Smart Manager & Stagefright fix in new updates. The latest updates follow on from their August and September releases.
Updates for carrier minority models are at the discretion of the carriers concerned.

Samsung obviously feel that this is a very important security update, see post #239, as they have now released some 100 worldwide updates in around a week for the various Galaxy S5 models worldwide, alone.
