Help S6 edge sound issues

Hi everyone,

I bought a galaxy s6 Edge from gumtree (I didn't check etc I know I'm an *****)

On a phone call there is static and strange sounds coming through. I can hear the other person but there is high pitch ringing and it's quite annoying and causes headache.

Also, when I plug in headphones to listen to podcast etc there is very loud static and strange noises also.

The speaker works fine.

any ideas on what I could do would be much appreciated

I hope it's a software problem but I doubt it

Hey there

Welcome to Android forums :)

To rule out the software issue , Please boot into safe mode and see if the problem persists .

Secondly there may be a call recording app which could be causing this problem to you , Have a check and if it is there then ,(Uninstall it );

Thanks for the suggestions.

The sounds are still there in safe mode and have just done a factory reset and issues still present.
