Help S6, Note 4, LG G3 or Xperia Z3

Just seen prices for S6 in Carphone Warehouse.
Too much for me. So what do I get now ??
I haven't got £600 to lay out as a cash buy for Note 4. So a contract for that one. The LG is better for me pricewise, but heard some faults are inherent. Xperia Z3 seems good, gut only snapdragon 801 in it( same as LG ). I need to get a bit future proofed.
My S3 is ok, but I wanted something slightly bigger with 2GB ram memory installed.
Perhaps to buy S4 and root the thing, but is that getting a bit long in the tooth. I do like the Note 4, but justifying £38- £43 a month is maybe a bit too far.
Decisions. Decisions
:eek::eek::D

I had a similar decision to make. .. and guessed that that the s6 was going to a slot into the pricing tree towards the top.

So you could hold on. The s5 has now dropped dramatically and so all the phones you listed will drop too.

The z3 isn't that much of an advance on the z2. .. so there are much better deals about on the z2.

The g3 can be yours for around £299 from various sources and then you can pop the sim of your choice in it.

Or.. how about the oneplus one. A beast of a phone at £269

Or the honor phones which I think is Huawei's new brand which will shortly be avaliable in the sub £200 mark

I went from a note 2 to the oneplus and am having a blast with it.

Another vote for the OnePlus One here. It only has a 801 soc but for the price it's an excellent phone and has 3gb ram which should future proof it quite a bit :thumbsupdroid:

Got my mitts on a S6 and S6 Edge today in Samsung shop in Cardiff. They look great but hell, are they slippery ???. A case will be the first thing to buy with one of these phones, preferably before you take it out of the shop after purchase.
To me, it looks nothing like a Sammyphone, but more like a crapple phone. I liked the plastic backs. Forgot to add S5 to the thread title list.
I hesitate in getting a Chinese phone- or wherever One+One comes from - what if it goes tits up- where does one send it for repair??
I am 69 nearly, so whatever I get now, will have to last. That's why I was looking at a Note 4, with the 805 snapdragon bit inside and 3 gb ram, it is a little bit future proofed.
Back to comparing prices and stuff then, lol.

If you're a 'low'mobile data user, and don't care about 4G then virgin mobile have some great deals on the s5 at the moment, as they seem to be clearing stock due to the s6 arriving...

My wife is in a very similar situation... she'd prefer to have a device with UK based support, so she's nixed the Oneplus....

... and its now 99% certain that she's going for the G3. Most of her data usage is when she's in a wifi hotspot, so it seriously reduces the contract costs. We went out looking at the devices, and a store had the S5, G3, M8 and Z3 lined up in a row. As soon as her eyes hit the screen we had a winner.

Now just off to deal with three's disconnections department and grab a PAC code

Narrowed it all down to 3. Note 4, LG G3 and S6. When I was a trucker, I used to have about 1500 songs on the phone- SD card- blue toothed into a headset. Now I have retired, I rarely listen to music or podcasts, so the S6 in that respect is not a worry without SD card provision, especially as it has 32 GB.
Also, as I now don't go far away from home, I am never far from a power source for recharge.

For some reason the G3 will not go out of my choice list- any recommendations in this respect please??

My favourite choice is Note 4, but that is nearly as expensive as S6, if not the same.
As you know the Xperia, S5 and LG G3 has an 801 chip in it, Note 4 has an 805, and the S6 is a powerhouse with Exynos.
My initial reaction is to go with future proofing to an extent- S6, Note 4. ( Note 4 for ability to doodle and sketch)

But that G3 will not go away, lol..
I have looked at G3 forum here, but seen nothing too disastrous. All phones will have their foibles.
Back to the drawing board.!!

I have decided to get a Note 4. A chat to a mate today who is a guru at o2, helped me make up my mind. The speed and power of the S6 will probably be better with games. The S6 Edge is a great looking phone. I don't play games on my phones, apart from Solitaire, and you don't need too much wellie for that.
