S6 to S10 google(and Samsung) back up/restore...no text restored.

I know I might have screwed up from lack of knowledge. I did both google and samsung backups for Galaxy S6.(no sd card). To be safe I also copied whole phone to PC folder just in case restore did not go well. Just a generic copy all phone folders to a PC folder. Now i am missing all texts, even though i selected to back them up, and some contacts. Can I pull them from some folder on my PC? Thanks in advance.

I used Google and Samsung backup...neither restored texts. Then no app...just opened file explorer on windows 10. opened phone, highlighed all folders, and drug them to copy on my hard drive. I know...probably lost....I just figured the 2 backup restores would save them....and yes..i had everything selected for backup...but...here I am. The PC copy was kind of an afterthought before I reset device.

samsung smart switch backs up most things except for text messages. and the same goes for google. next time use SMS Backup and Restore for all of your text messaging backups.

so sorry without your old phone, you have lost all those conversations.

I was afraid of that. I was hoping I could drag and drop from the folder copies on the PC to the new phone and they would be recovered. Thanks
