S8 (type C) magnetic cable issues?

Hi all - I've ordered 2 different cables with magnetic connections advertised as compatible with the S8, but neither has produced a "fast charging" notification on my phone. They both charge and connect to PC just fine, but I'd prefer to get a cable with compatibility for a full fast charge. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? TIA
 
You're trying to fast charge while they're connected to a PC? A PC's USB ports usually just don't supply enough current for fast charging a phone. You'll have to use the fast charge USB mains plug charger with them, if you want to fast charge your S8.
 
No I used the included Samsung power supply to test the charge. I'm concerned about getting a magnetic cable for fast charge while plugged into a power outlet. Thanks
