I have an s890 bought about 12 months ago in mainland China.
I am having problems with some areas of the bottom of the screen not responding to touch in both bottom corners.
I take out the battery to turn off the phone, wait 5 seconds and reinstall battery and then press on button and volume up at the same time. a menu appears and I can use the volume control to scroll through it and select an option but then what? how do you execute the instruction? pressing the power on button at this point just does a normal boot.
if this fails what is the most common hardware cause of this problem and is it simple to get and replace the component?
