Safe Mode

Has anyone booted there S3 into safe mode? Mine kept freezing and on one of the boots I noticed on the bottom of the screen it said safe mode. The was working in it but all the 3rd party apps were gone. I couldn't repeat it and the phone still kept freezing. I had to recover to get back running but was wondering if anyone has used safe mode for anything.

You get into SafeMode when you hit the left capacitive touch button i.e. Menu button. you must have done it while it was in your pocket.

i have used safe mode but for me to boot into safe mode i needed to press volume down while the phone was booting and it went into safe mode. I used it to check battery life overnight on my phone a couple of times.
