Safety in Threes

Rgarner

I just found out about what seems to be a cool little puzzle game, Threes. The idea is to add up numbers to make three and thus clear the board. However, it seems to be asking too many permissions, such as phone identity and messing with the SD card. I don't want that. Is there some way to get around it and simply enjoy the game?

On a modern android there are some permissions you can veto individually, some you can't (I think storage you can, phone identity I'm not so sure about). On older versions you accept them all by installing the app.

Of course there may be legitimate reasons for these (e.g. storing game data). Or reasons that some would regard as OK and others not (e.g. using phone ID as part of an ad delivery/tracking system). The dev should be able to explain why they are needed.

A funny thing happened. I went back and tried again, and this time it said no special permissions. I don't know how I got that lucky. It still connects to Google games, but I guess that's easily solved by offlining it.
