Help Sam. Gal S2 Maps

GS2 cannot find my location in MAPS. I have to estimate a location and enter destination?? Slow in finding any location.
What is wrong? are there settings for this.
Also how do you delete old locations that are in drop down menu??

First off what version of software is your device on? EK02 was a very solid build and GPS worked great. EL29 was the most recent official release and it had GPS issues.
Menu > Settings > About Phone > Build Number if it ends in EL29 thats why your having GPS issues.

Fix for me was to Stock Root, and change modems. I am currently on FC15 and testing out FD02 modem and data speeds as well as GPS lock are solid.

That really sux. Do you really like the ppphone otherwise or are there a lot of bugs??

The phone is great. Some of the bugs you are talking about are just recent software updates, and can be fixed with some tweaking. This phone is like my baby, and never leaves my side quite honestly. Every phone with have some cons, but the upsides are awesome. I will always recommend rooting, and fixing the modem, because the latest update messed some things up. Welcome to the family!
