Star of a phone but there are issues which Samsung needs to Resolve n address!

Yes it gets heated at the top while charging...complainably HOT!

The KIEs software site is not working despite attempts...so HOW does one get the software?

The Customer care isnt responding well to S2 querries...who does one look upto?

Do we need to update any software in this gadget...just bought it 2 days ago?

A manual and a CD would have helped if provided like olden days...P990i did!

Will someone share please?!

Welcome to Android Forums!

The first time a phone charges it will get rather hot, but it should settle down after a few charges. Make sure in the beginning you use the charger they supplied because the amperage and voltage should be balanced for the phone.

Kies is different based on country. Here in the US we only get Kies mini which is used for system updates only. Connecting the phone to a PC for file copy is best done in mass storage mode.

Software updates aren't that common, but they do happen, especially if you phone was boxed right before one was released. Sometimes software updates cause some problems, so if your phone is working fine now, there's not an urgent need to race to the update, although staying current will help overall.

Thanks! I am indeed enjoying the android and my S2 with all the lovely games and apps available. Had the SE p990i which had kept me going for last 5years without any issues but this switch over has been very nice and long due is what i feel now.
The phone does get hot-at times while charging(not always) while at playing games definitely.I know these gadgets can take a lot of heating but then can someone put more light please?
