Same contact when making calls

Hi everyone,

I recently acquired my first Android, the S3 and loving it so far. Coming from a blackberry user, the transition wasn't as bad seeing my passion for mobile.

Most minor issues I've encountered was easily fixable doing a quick search online. however my latest is starting to annoy me.

here's the situation. i have all my work contacts that i synchronized from my outlook contacts. Syncing was seamless but the issue is with the work telephone numbers. in our company directory, all our direct lines only display the extension, so when my contact entries only show the extension number in the "work" field. naturally when i try to place a call it asks me to use a 10 digit number. So what i did was edit all my work contacts together and added the same tel number to all with a coma "," for a pause and then the extension. what ends up happening is somehow Android doesn't recognize the person and seems to always display one person in that list when i call out or receive a call. Even though it calls out the right person, it still show's someone else's name and picture...

So how do I fix that? i tried to remove all contacts and re-add them again but no luck...

You dont happen to have a direct # for each person you could use as an alternative do you? My company has a main number with an extension for each person but also has a direct # to each each person.

No unfortunately it's one main number with different extensions. like i mentioned it works when i input the same number for everyone with each's extension in that format (XXX-XXXX, XXXX). the problem is Android doesn't seem to recognize the extension and displays the same person (name and pic) for all.
