Install Google photos on your phone. It will backup all of your photos and videos off your phone to the cloud.
Now on your computer go to photos.Google.com and save them to your computer. Done.

i second google photos. i love it because it automatically backs up all of my photos to the cloud. i have it setup that it will upload the photos only when the phone connects to wifi to save data. i never have to worry if my phone craps out on me, or if my sd card gets corrupted, my photos at least are safe.
