Help Samsung device can't connect to AppleTV on ANY app.

Hello. I have two Android devices that where provided from MetroPCS (both are Samsungs), and I've been trying to get them to mirror anything on my Apple TV gen 3. I've tried just about every single app that has been suggested on numerous websites, forums, youtube videos and the like, but these android phones don't even seem to even see the Apple TV like it isn't there. I'm not as savvy when it comes to mobile devices, so I can't help but feel like there's something missing that MetroPCS stripped from these devices that would otherwise let all these apps work right of the bat on an Apple TV. Again, the apps scan for an AirPlay device, and is never able to see my AppleTV.

Does anyone know what might be causing the problem?

Because it's Apple. Basically Apple makes it difficult to use anything not Apple on their devices. You may need to look for adapters.

You do need to find something that supports Airplay which is often proprietary to Apple devices of course. There's some ideas and apps here.

I've already tried all the apps listed on that page before hand and none of them allowed either Samsung device to even detect the Apple TV. I'm not even sure it's properly running the AirPlay service on my devices, so I'm guessing that it may have something to do with the fact that these phones where purchased from MetroPCS. Would any of you know if MetroPCS had actually stripped something or locked something down on their end that may not allow the AirPlay service to properly run even on rooted devices?

Apple and Android are 2 very different operating systems, much like a PC is to a Mac. This issue has nothing to do with Metro pcs.

Actually there are numerous videos on YouTube showing how their Android devices are in fact interacting with AppleTV just fine. So the issue has to be on my phone.

Basically I need someone who is savvy enough to help somewhat troubleshoot the issue.

Are you even sure your Apple TV is properly connected to the same local network as your Android devices? Instead of blaming your phones, confirm all your devices are on the same network. Try installing this network scanning app, Fing:

Or just go into your router's setup page and check if it has a 'connected devices' page and see if all of your devices are showing up properly.
If for instance you have your Apple TV connected to a guest network and all your devices connected to the primary network than they can't detect each other on their respective networks.

I'm going to go with blaming my phones, since I've already known that all my devices and Apple TV are infact properly connected to my local network. I do manage my network for my house, so I'm blaming my phones since it appears to be working fine for other android devices.

Update: For the record my phone is rooted already.
