Root Samsung drivers for Linux?

Surely the existence of Heimdall for Linux means that there are drivers out there that will allow, say, Ubuntu, to recognize the SGR.

I've been searching for Samsung drivers for Linux and thought I found what I was looking for ... turns out it's drivers for printers. Nope!

Can anyone help me out here? I just rooted my phone and I'm kind of in limbo until I can flash CWM Recovery so that I can do a Nandroid backup before I do anything else.

If worse comes to worst, I can hang on until Monday when I have access to my Windows computer again, but I'm kind of itching to move forward.

Thank you!

Is Linux your only O.S.? If its not I recommend just using windows, especially for someone not creating mods and roms

I have not had a chance to use Heimdall yet, however you shouldn't need drivers for Android on Linux. ADB always pics up whatever device I have plugged into Linux.

If your using Ubuntu you may need to go and set the Android.rules file setup. Google SDK setup on linux, go to the official page and look at what you have to do. It's simple and easy.
