samsung droid charge not vibrating

i have the sumsung droid charge, and it will not vibrate, when i use the volume keys on the left to switch from ring volume to vibrate the bar at the top of my screen says its set to vibrate, but it doesnt when i get a call or text, i downloaded the "silent mode" app widget so i can quickly switch from ringer to vibrate to silent, had it on my droid 2 and loved it. thinking that this app was the reason y it wont vibrate now i deleted it and it still wont vibrate. anyone else having this problem? also if u know a way to turn off the battery charged notification that would b helpful as well
 
thx, i have looked and looked and cant find an answer, fairly certain that it doenst have to do with the silent mode app b/c it wont vibrate with or without it installed......
 
If it's under waranty, it might be worth a call to the carrier or manufacturer just to find out your options
