Help Samsung Europa Internet Problem

I have a small problem with my mobile Internet connection on my Samsung Europa GT-i5500, when I press/hold power button and check that Mobile network, connect to internet is on its always off, when I touch it to turn it on nothing happens and when I check again it is still off, I have been told I should also see the 2G/3G/HSDPA symbol in the notification bar but nothing is displayed, if I turn on my wifi it connects to the www without any problem.

Anyone got any idea's ?

Also had this problem for a long time. No other solutions worked for me. I was disappointed to see no answers to this post so hope I can help!

Some people's issue is in settings>wireless & network settings>mobile network settings>Tick Use packet data. This was not my issue.

I went into Access Point Names and there were none there. I pressed the menu button to pull up more options and selected reset to default. My APNs came back and selected the right one for my network. Seems to be working now.
