Help Samsung G S3 Missing Google Account type

Not too long ago, i tried to go into the play store and all that happened was it "opened" but immediately closed:confused:... almost instantly... i found that strange and kept trying to open it, restarted phone but nothing was allowing me to get it running..

i then tried other google apps, such as google+, messenger+, play movies, play books... but it's doing the same thing (instantly closes):mad:

after that i decided maybe ill remove my google account and retry.. it was then that i realized that under Accounts my Google account was not even listed.. found that strange, so i then clicked on the add account, but again, google was not even on the list of options!!! the hell why not??:confused:

just because of this, my apps are never updated and i cant get any other apps easily... as i have to download then off my pc and transfer them over..

any help would be appreciated on this... i have a feeling a factory reset would probably be the fix.. but i am leaving that as the worst case scenario...:(

P.S. my phone is not rooted, it's purely OOBE
 
Yes, as you say you are going to need to do a Factory reset. Backup as much as you can to the PC. If your music and pic are on the internal memory move them to the PC also.

GTWalling, yup seems like after looking at the link posted earlier, that they are resolving it by doing a factory reset..:(


ill try out what they are suggesting and post back with my results!

check your "Google Account Manager" setting under Settings - Apps - All.
It should be ENABLED.
