Samsung Galaxy 7 inches compatible apps?

miramikes

Lurker
Hi,

I am new to android and I got opportunity to buy used Samsung Galaxy 7 inches tablet.
I've played with it for awhile but was not able install there AlpineQuest GPS Hiking (Lite) or
SailGrib - Free
These apps I would like to use.

How I can check which apps are compatible with given device before buy it?

thank you

Hello and welcome to Android Forums, miramikes.

One of the best ways is to go to the Google Play Store and read the reviews. Also, often the developers will include device compatibility lists along with the descriptive data about their apps.

Now days most devs have come around to making their programs detect the device screen resolution they are installed on. Trying out the free versions is the ultimate test prior to making a purchase if it's a non-free app you're seeking. ;)

Thank you for answer Frisco,
Actually I didn't found any limitation for this app on dev's pages.
Samsungs allegedly should be normally supported :(

I will check again what might be wrong.

Opps, this device is still registered to my friend and this device is not visible on her "google play acount" ! But she is logged with her gmail account in device :(

What might be wrong?

PS: maybe subject should be changed

First off another welcome to the site :hello:

I _think_ you can change the thread title yourself, if not PM me with what you want it to say and I can do it.

Also, you'll want to sign your friend out of the device and sign yourself in. Then when you go to the Play Store, it'll be easier to find compatable apps.

Finally, give us the exact model number and carrier so that I/we can move this thread to the section specific for your device, that way there'll be plenty of other folks familiar with it to help you out as well.

Yeah to edit the title you hit edit on the first post and it lets you edit the title. (On the android app anyway. I never use the full site)
