Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 sound issues

The speaker and speakerphone sound became so low all of a sudden without any reason. I tried restarting, clearing the cache, diagnostics but nothing was successful. It is so annoying being not able to answer calls outside the room and not able to hear the ringtone. Help please

did your phone receive an update? is the volume turned all the way up?

curious, what about wired headphones? bluetooth headphones?
