Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830I getting Android 2.3.6 update in India

I am facing a weird problem my battery charges very fast and drains at a much larger speed :( and this I suppose is happening after Gingerbread upgrade. I upgraded using ODIN. Any suggestion?
Should i try doing factory reset?
