Lurker
Last weekend I was at the lake and my Galaxy Avant got wet. I let it dry out and put in rice. When I went to see if it would work, I put the battery in and the back and menu buttons lit up and if I hold down the power button they start flashing and nothing happens. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

I would surmise that the water did its damage...more specifically, perhaps the residue left behind after it dried out.
When you say it got wet, I assume it got submerged?
Nevertheless how wet it got, it appears the phone is permanently damaged :(

Edit: done got ninj'ad :D

How long was it wet for and how long did you leave it to dry? 48 hours is the bear minimum it should be left before being turned on again.
It was probably getting wet for a couple minutes, only cause I didnt know it was getting wet. This happened on Saturday.
