Help samsung galaxy core colors fades

june 20

Lurker
I bought my new samsung galaxy core gt a month back and after 1 or two days of buying the colors of my cell faded away for like a minute and then went back to normal ..it happens frequently after 4 or 5 days ...my screen brightness is on zero...I have my power saving mode on.... I've tried to take a screencap bt failed
... as when the colors fade away...I take a screencap and the colors of the screencap r faded.....bt as soon as the colors go back to normal my screencap colors r also normal....so what to do?

Welcome to AF June.:)

Other device owners may be more help, but I'm unable to determine which device you have. We have forums for the Core LTE, Max, Prima, & Ultra, but not for the GT. Is there a different name for your phone or a model number? If you let us know we can get your thread moved to a better place to get answers.

As far as what symptoms you are having, it sounds a lot like a bad display to me. You purchased it a month ago, so you should still be in warranty. If you offload the pictures to a computer and the colors are fine, then it is definitely something to do with the display.

When the colors fade for few seconds or a minute.... not just pix bt every thing is faded.... feels like as if saturation is lowered....the problem is .... it happens whenever is pleases.... and I am nt sure what to say to the customer service without showing them.... how r they going to fix it when they do't know about the problem...

Hmmm... ...I did some hunting around and best I can tell, this is a 2 sim version of the Core Max, so I moved the thread there.:)

I think your explanation here would be sufficient for CS as I was able to troubleshoot based on it.;) Does it do it still if you turn of powersaving and / or turn up the brightness?

Yeah I switched off power saving mode once but it still faded...haven't tried turning up brightness....tu rning up the brighteness...I'll let u know if it happens again... thnx.

Turning off power saving mode and turning up the brightness should test whether or not this is hardware or not.

From what you have said it sounds hardware related. If this fails you might want to look into your warranty for more options. :)

P.S. Welcome to the site :D

Sounds almost like auto brightness is set. If it is in an enviroment with no light level changes it may be an issue with the light sensor. You can always test out the sensor with a program like Androsensor and see if the light level changes randomly, which would indicate a hardware issue with the sensor.

I've turned up the brightness but now my battery is being consumed really quick.... fading hasn't happened yet...bt it usually happens after 5 days....so I'll let u knw whether it happens or not.... and thnx a lot :)

Yep just looked at the sensors, it seems that phone doesn't even have a ambient light sensor! I do apologize, most phones these days have an ALS. instead of max brightness, set it to about 90% see if the fading comes back. It will help you to balance power usage and brightness.
