Help Samsung Galaxy Europa GT15500 Predictive Text Problem

Lurker
Hi I have the phone listed in the title, and have recently started having trouble with the predictive text. So here is my noob question.

When I type the first few letters of each word, I then have to specifically select the word from the list otherwise, when start typing the next word it continues with the letters I typed for the last word.

e.g. I f I was trying to type the sentence "black rabbit walk back"

I used to type "bla[space]rabb[space]wal[space]ba" and the predicitve text would get the right words.

Now if I type the same thing I get "black blarabb blarabbwal blarabbwalba"

To get the sentence right I have to type "bla [select 'black' from list] rabb [select 'rabbit' from list] wal [select 'walk' from list] ba [select 'back' from list]

If this makes sense to anyone and can offer a solution it would be much appreciated.

This may not be your preference, but I would switch to the built-in Swype. Take some time to get used to it and you will find that you can type/swype much faster than tapping.

1) Long-press in any standard text input box and select "Input method" from the pop-up box. You can then shoose Swype.
2) Go to "Language & Kepboard -> Swype Settings -> Speed vs. Accuracy -> and bring the slider all the way to the right. This will let you swype much faster.
