Samsung Galaxy III music player issue

A relative of mine said she is having difficulty with her phone. She has a Samsung Galaxy III and said she tries to play music and it will just play one song only. the songs will not just continuously play. She also said that if she sets her phone down the music will stop. She said as long as she is holding her phone the music will play but as soon as she sets it down, it stops. I have trouble with this sort of thing and it is even harder when I am not looking at the phone to try things myself. Any suggestions or known issues?

If you put the phone with it's front facing down, the music will stop. It's a setting you can turn off in settings>motion (might be "movement", not quite sure, as I have a Norwegian phone) and then "flip to mute" or something...

As for the one-song-only-being-played part, I am not sure, but has she checked if the "repeat" button is turned on?
