Samsung Galaxy Indulge

Me too! I'm stoked! Bummed there is only a forward facing camera though. Video chat would have been cool.
Still looks likes an awesome phone. Can't wait to see how must faster interwebbing will be!

Had a dummy one in my hands today. It's definately thicker than the Ascend I have now. But the keyboard is sweet. My fingers are just too big for the on screen keyboards.

I'm fairly new here. Can anyone tell me when we can expect a new forum and page for this phone? And the process involved in getting it's own listing?

I also find it odd that the Indulge is by all accounts going to be available as soon as tomorrow, but there is no link on Metropcs or Samsung sites.

I did see the page at Metropcs.com, but that's not actually finished or showing without a search.
I'm very excited to get this phone. Like a kid on Christmas eve.

Got it yesterday and it's a great phone, the samsung touchWiz is great as well.

I did a speed test at the store and was getting 5.3mbps down over their 4G.

Its processor speed keeps it running smooth

While downloading data over 4G it does get pretty hot.

Picked up this phone around 5:00 after my month old Optimus's screen took a nose dive. I went to my nearby metro store to pick up another optimus and the salesman told me these came in yesterday. Im loving it, I was all thumbs when it came to texting on my old optimus. I gave away a my three month old Samsung Craft to my partner at work when I discovered the android world. I am so glad we have a keyboard, 4G, and the android network all combined finaly. I bought it so fast. Now I'm trying to get the nerve up to try rooting it with z4root, I allready have root explorer on it. Does anyone know if this phone is rootable and if so what we should use to root it. Ive already got two Optimus's laying around as bricks. I certainly don't need a $:rolleyes:400.00 third one.

tell us more about battery life please. I heard phone with 4g eat up alot of battery.

The battery is OK when in standbuy. However when talking on the phone or using 4G the battery dies quick.

metro site specs list it as 3 hour talk time.

The phone cant be rooted yet, i'm dying to root it so I can try and squeeze out some battery life.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the info.

One of my friends told me that his tmobile phone dies while on 4g in 3-4 hours as well. It sucks that Metro does not have 3g what's so ever.

Ive had this phone sine it first came out... Now, for the past week or 2, 4g is no longer working. Someone please help.

Have you rooted the phone or installed Anycut or done anything else to "turn off" the 4G? I know that may sound obvious, but let's start with the basics...

Have you tried a reboot (power cycle) and/or battery pull? These things are like little computers, sometimes doing that can cure all sorts of weird little problems.

Have any 4G outages been reported in your area? Have you stopped by a MetroPCS store (especially the one where you bought the phone) and told them about the issues you are having? You can also check forums (like this one!*) or google "metropcs 4g outage [your city here]" and similar things to see if any users have reported outages in your area (the sales rep in your local store may or may not be aware of a network outage).

* I actually just noticed a couple threads about 4G outages on MetroPCS in the Samsung Indulge forum right here on Androidforums:
