Help Samsung galaxy j7 started vibrating and beeping

Last night i was just sitting and using my phone (browsing) . and then all of a sudden my phone started vibrating like crazy for about a minute . then it stopped and after a 3 sec pause it starting beeping like crazy . i tried volume down button but it didn't do anything . i thought my phone was about to explode so i immediately removed the battery and threw the phone away .

I would have kept the phone, and thrown the battery away
