Help samsung galaxy js

Im new on here and im not very tech smart when it comes to phones. . but was wondering if some one could hell me out on a step by step instructions bases.. i need to improve my prl if possible? if i need to root my phone for this i am not sure but i need better coverage all the way around I live in a bad area i am supposed to have better coverage but i dont and can't even make phone calls or stay on the Internet?
I have a Samsung Galaxy J36.

I have browsed around but not really sure wich one really works. . Or what the better option would be . (Most effective ) even if i have to buy what ever i need i just want my phone to be up to par with everday needs.. so frustrating

What worries me is your Wi-Fi connectivity. That should be separate from your cellular radio.
