Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Hi Guys. This is my first post in the forum. I've got a samsung galaxy note 2 but when ever I run a benchmark test I'm getting low scores. For some reason the HTC One X is beating my note 2.

Does this mean I could have a defective device?

Why is there a low score?

If someone could help me out that would be great, I don't really know how the forum works.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums keebb9, glad to have you here :)

If you are concerned about benchmarks be aware that a lot of devices perform differently and one day your device could be losing to the One X and other days it could be beating the crap out of it. Maybe give you device a good reboot and see what happens next.

Thanks for joining though and i hope this helps clarify things! :D

I find my note quite fast on a network speed test. But it depends on what network you're on, how strong your signal is and mostly what time of day I run the test. If I run it at a time when not many people are on then its really fast, other times a bit slower.

Welcome keeb!
As DC said, devices will perform differently, even the same device.
My Evo rates low on the benchmark scores but it seems fast to me. If you start to get hungup on scores alone, it will bug you too much into thinking your device stinks!
I really don't worry about benchmark scores at all.
You can root your device and start playing with different roms/kernels and all kinds of settings to speed it up if you desire, but that is a decision you would have to make.
It's all good :D

Network speeds ohhh? So are we talking about internet, not just like CPU benchmarks...

Well the radios for Samsung have known to not be the best, so that is an issue.

Hi, my previous phone was a IPhone, I'm new to Android. How do i reboot the device device? Do you mean a factory data rest?

I've just used the CF-Bench software and the score is still low. The Samsung galaxy S3 is beating my note 2. I'm getting 10,669 as my overall score.

Once again thanks guys
