I am not too sure if I am posting this in the right area, But if I were to get the note carrier unlocked from deathstar, Will it have full functionality with T-metro bands or will I be wasting cash. unrealated Note, what would be a good price range for a Note lte?

T-Mobile runs their HSPA+ network on the 1700/1900 frequencies while AT&T runs theirs on just the 850/1900 and possibly 2100 not sure. So using that on t mobile you will always get edge speed but 3g may not work. But couple of good points tmo has refarmed many areas, meaning they have changed to also carry hspa on the att frequency they did this in part because they decided to use 1700 for lte and that means if you live where lte for tmo is you will also get lte with that note.

I think it supports those bands

New question do you think the tmoible flash will work or will a new one be devoloped?
What do you mean by tmo flash?

tmo is a gsm carrier not a cdma carrier there is no need to flash the phone to work with another carrier, the sim card is the difference your carrier info is on the sim so just swap it to another phone and go.

My point about tmo lte in detroit was metro customers will be able to use tmo spectrum to run lte thus making there data speeds faster.

Of its modem from the blaze S so it gets full use of it's radios
As for T-Mobile lte I haven't been getting it just metro maybe next month

Won't that require at least an OTA update from Metro to remove the pastie from the T-Mo teat for us? :p

It might, Dont know if you look at the esteem forum but few days ago my wifes tried to OTA though it has a custom rom so it failed, few people did get the update and now have a new modem version so it might be what gets them on the tmo teat.

the old note 1 will not work on tmobiles lte network, nor will it work well on tmo. it can safely use the modem from teh blaze (gsm is a bit more forgiving :/ )

but as a metro customer you arent going to be able to just get tmobile lte

no one here knows for certain, they will be offloading people to gsm, but it could be on metro's frequencies, it could be just a tmobile device rebranded. a lot of people have a lot of ideas that all make sense, but it is metropcs we are dealing with and they could do something completely stupid for the sake of maintaining their legacy :P

either way are you certain the note 1 supports all that? i know the note 2 does support tmobile lte.

The att version has lte on the 700/1700 frequencies. though the wcdma support is lacking for 1700.

Funny thing is this thread just got very interesting for me, I am picking up a note for my dad, though it will be running on net10 att sim, where he lives and works Iowa and surrounding states tmo has limited coverage.

I would be very very careful about flashing modems from another phone, that is one way to make a pretty brick.

That one had been confirmed to work also I am hearing that stock deathstar notes are picking up T-Mobile lte. So it all depends on what shabby said let's see if metro will go full dummy or not
