How to Update Samsung Galaxy pop to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread [Step by Step Guide]

Disclaimer : Do this at your own risk, this is an official update, works fine(tested by me),please read the precautions before continuing
The owner is not responsible for any un-precedented incident happening to your device/computer or whatsoever

PRECAUTIONS :

1)Make sure you have at least 80% charged battery and I highly recommend to use this method on laptop or on pc that have UPS
2)Install latest version of Samsung Kies on PC ( to latest drivers installed on PC )

STEPS :

1)First we need to switch off your phone ,also remove your SIM Card and SD Card
2)Extract update file to desire location ( password- sampro.pl )
3)Open Odin Multi Downloader on PC , be sure to tick the one package option

Click on OPS and select the .Ops file
TASS v1.0.ops

4) I have posted the links so please download the files before proceeding with the process
5) Before connecting to the pc put your phone in the download mode which can be done by press and hold Middle Key (OK Key) + Volume Down Key than Power key

Note: Don’t proceed if you are unable to put your phone in download mode

6) connect phone to pc, If your phone is properly connected Odin Multi Downloader signal the COM port in yellow,now we can click on START.
wait for 5 minutes , your phone will reboot after successful installation. COM Port box should indicate blue color and display “PASS” it means flashing process was successful

I am having Samsung galaxy Pop. when i try to update my phone to gingerbread Odin is not detecting my phone even i checked USB DEBUGGING

ur phone needs to be in download mode before connecting to pc...then only odin will detect ur phone
 
Hi earlier when I didnt update my Phone to 2.3.6 I was able to choose different styles for messaging display.

After the update I could not set different styles. Can you help me please.:mad:

hai, since iam new to this site.please help me.iam in a big trouble,that is I did two methods to update the android version of my samsung galaxy pop using 'odin multidownloader' latest version first I checked normally inserting the APBOOT..,GTS55...,MODEM..,CODE..etc.. these files.but I cant update it.then I use one package option but still no use I can't update it.in both case there is written that 'check plcatform varification' and its stuck then I waited for 50 minutes!! Even I can't update it(i know that if everything is right then we can see 'PASS' written in blue background on the upper left of the screen) please help me:-(Download Start...
