Did anybody check this out to see if its legit?

This one was a confirmed fail a while back. There are several posts on here confirming it. Even tried it myself to be sure and when trying to install it, gives an error that the package isn't signed correctly or something like that. Plus, it's listed on several sites as being a method for updating pretty much any and all android phones. I bricked my first prevail with rom manager so bad that it never powered on again.
