Help Samsung Galaxy S 4 forgot password HELP!!!!!

So i was playing with my phone last night and put a password before going to bed...now i cant remember it
its the Metro Galaxy S 4 (SGH-M919N)

i cant begin to describe how much of an idiot i am for doing this
i have very important stuff in there and i cant loose it.

Please help me!

I have no idea. Besides resetting the phone. But that will cause you to lose your information.

enter the password/pin/unlock combo wrong too many times it will ask for gmail password

My friend told me the same thing that the only way around it was through your gmail account, but the phone never gave me the option, even after 200 tries. Im wondering if this is only a feature on Google phones?

Anyways after a long day of being phoneless and beating my head i finally got it at night, thank god im not phoneless and didnt have to wipe it, next up is a good recovering/backup system and root, thanks all
