Help samsung galaxy s i9000 power button function partialy

Hi

My Samsung galaxy s i9000 power button function partially this mean I can power up my phone but when the phone enter the sleep mode I can not wake it up by pressing the power button. Can anybody help with this issue

Strange. You don't happen to have an alternate lockscreen installed right? Something like widget locker.

Actually what happened that for some reason I have corrosion in my device every thing was fixed but the only thing that was left is the functionality of the power button.
