Samsung galaxy s II ever going to be updated?

What is wrong with old fashioned taking care of customers? Is this phone going to get updated? After sprint sold (pushed) it to us as their best phone?? We have been neglected for upgrades, were not told lte was comming in a few Weeks.. And on and on and on!!!
 
Not even the Evo 3D has been updated. Sprint seems to be way way way behind on updates. I got tired of waiting for the 3D's update and just bought an S3.
 
None of their old flagship phones have been updated. Not the 3D, not the SII, not the Photon. Heck, even the Nexus 4G didn't get updated until two months ago, and it's a pure Google phone! Sprint has been dropping the ball on this, and it makes me wary of any future Nexus phones on the network. I wonder if any Sprint phone will see 4.1 before the end of the year.

It seems Sprint is really lacking in the update department lately. The non Sprint Evo 3D's have been upgraded to ICS and the non Sprint Galaxy S2's have all been upgraded to ICS so this clearly points to the culprit...Sprint.
I don't know what their deal is but I'm really losing faith in them for providing updates on future phones (such as my Evo LTE).
 
Samsung provided this update just recently...it should be rolling out to phones now...for anyone watching this thread ;)


I don't dis any manufacturer or carrier...but Sammy has a well known track record for this stuff
 
I apologize to everyone that posted here for not responding back... I did not get notices that there was responses, perhaps because I did not subscribe to the thread...

Anyhow.. I finally took it upon myself to upgrade mine and my wife's phones not waiting for OTA. The procedure worked out fine, without any heartaches...
