Samsung Galaxy S III custom vibrate not working in text messages

I just purchased the Galaxy S III. The default vibrate was not good enough so I set a custom vibrate but it only works for phone calls and not for texts. When I get a text the default vibration is used. I downloaded Chomp SMS and set a custom vibrate in the and it still plays the default vibrate. Anyone have any answers for this one? Thanks in advance for everyone's help!!

I am still having the problem with vibrate on my texts. It will only do the default (which is two quick vibrates). This is very frustrating... please help!!!

I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII through Virgin Mobile. I have a custom vibrate pattern set but when I get a text message the default vibrate pattern plays (two short vibrates). I am using the stock messenger app.
This is really frustrating does anyone have a solution?

or just answer the question if you know the fix if not dont post anything. im pretty sure custom vibrate only works for phone calls not texts.

I already had those settings maxed out (all slid over to the right). that only deals with the intensity not the custom vibrate. I set my own custom vibrate pattern which does not work for texts. The default vibrate for texts you can barely notice it is only 2 short pulses

As I stated in an earlier post I am only using the stock messenger app and I have changed the setting in that to use the custom vibrate pattern I created but it doesn't work.

As I said it maybe a faulty phone may need to take into repair center. Or just try a factory data reset

I don't believe it is the phone. As someone else stated they don't think custom vibrate is available for texts. Do you have a Galaxy S3 and if so does custom vibrate work on yours? I just downloaded an app called Vibration tools and the custom vibrate now works.

Hey guys!

I know when something doesn't work the way we want them to it can get really frustrating! I've been there many times my self and it can be a royal pain.

Let's keep in mind here though people are trying their best to help out, and they are doing it to be a helpful part of the community as well. I know these things can get frustrating but let's not try to take it out on each other no matter how frustrating it is. Nobody is to blame here, and this is just a message to everyone :)
