Help Samsung Galaxy S - Indian thread

It happened with me also, So try using some different USB port or Try what @SGSI has told or simply whenever this error comes
1. dont click on OK button(the popup which shows that try later again).
2. Unplug ur phone.
3. Press "Volume down"+Home+"Power button" simultaneously untill the phone starts in download mode.
4. Now Connect ur phone again thru USB.
5. Kies will start flashing the firmware.
 
Guys i have tried JPC firmware on my SGS. Samsung has done many small updates which are definitely enhancing the functionality. ROM itself is stable than JP2 and JP3.
Music player has small bug as it crashes in "Disc view". Other than that i can say Final froyo ROM will be better than any current ROM.But this ROM still has some hiccups.
Currently now i am back to JM6 (Since I took back up of my /efs, i reverted back my product version as original)

i m currently trying to put jm1 update to the phone.
will let u know of its result

tried the procedure.
the pc shows a new device recognised, and then gives a message drivers not installed. also the firmware update does not show any progress.
 
I have a Loop GPRS connection.Any idea how to turn it off when not in use so that i doesnt cost me much.i used APNdroid but after turning it off and turning back on.GPRs doesnt work.Any other alternative so that my monthly bills dont burn my pockets.
 
any one having a buisness card reader installed on their phone. i am looking for one. it is sad that such a high end phone does not have. my previous phone motorola a1200 had one pre installed in it.

ok I tried the samsung facebook for few hours and its not as good as the android one...the post inside cannot be clicked where as the android one posts can be clicked and open any article or video straight from there...

switching back to android facebook :)
 
Hii i am using my galaxy S WIFI and it has very poor signal strenght....it doesnt even work when i move from the room where my modem is kept...r u ppl also facing this problem...or is there any way to solve this problem...pls reply

Get the wifi analyzer app. I get a signal strength of -70 dBm right now (and the router is in the next room).

Depends on the wireless router you have.

Download "Quick Settings" from the Market. Open it and shut it off, enable again when you want from the same App.
 
Hello Freinds,

Somehow I am missing a very minute functionality in Galaxy S ... Whenever I have to switch off my handset, i need to use the side power hardware button .. which gives me update of flight mode, silent mode and poweroff ... Like in blackberry, if i can get a small application on the application workspace ... which can be used to power off the phone, it would have been great ..

I am not that comfortable in using a long press in the power hardware button to do that ...

do we have any application like that for android...??

I couldn't find an app to do that in the market place. Probably need a rooted phone for that too.
