Samsung Galaxy S Lightray

Well to keep the cost attractive putting a single core might not be a bad idea of course not for us but as a whole to keep the phone at a lower price the connect is dual core but is not nearly the size of the lightray and it does not have super amoled

right but it has a Nova screen tho which is basically super amoled on LG

so... what are the official specs on the lightray, cause im seeing different ones... i just want a new 4g phone, and lightray seems good (based off the specs on this thread)

Actually we're looking at something better than the Connect IMO because the lightray is indeed a dual core 1.3 GHz processor and has the 4.3" super AMOLED screen with 512 MB RAM and 8 GB internal memory.

But no ics, so the will release a slightly better phone months from now, only it will have ics, so in a years time some will have bought three f-n expensive phones.

if you're stupid enough to do that.

if the s3 wasnt coming to metro i'd forgo the lightray and the motion and stick with my connect as neither phone is a dramatic upgrade from the connect.

Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Lightray 4G is officially retailing at $459

2.3 Gingerbread OS
1GHz processor
16 GB memory card included
HDMI output
Sound alive audio
8 MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording
4GLTE Hotspot enabled
1.3 MP front face camera
Dyle mobile TV

I'm ehh about the price..the esteem is currently $379. The lightray is $459 and the S3 will be more without the specs being watered down...if you ask me I'd still save up for the S3 :D

I still believe this phone is an upgrade from the esteem

It's certainly better than both the esteem and the connect. Is it enough to upgrade? I don't think so.

The connects processor still beats the lightray but overall it's still better. But I would agree, is it enough to upgrade? Perhaps not when you can wait two-three more months for a REAL upgrade :D

Let me refrase the lightray is an upgrade for someone that will buy not for us that already are rocking esteems like if I had to choose between the 2 I get the lightray as a first time buyer

Here are some photos from promo material for the Lightray. :)
