I'm trying to find out a way to assign a notification tone to an individual contact on my Galaxy S. Any ideas how to do this?

Using stock contacts, you need to do the following.
Open a contact, Menu> Edit> At the top of the contact, you will have all the linked contact info (google, facebook, twitter, phone, etc.) Select the phone contact, and scroll down. About halfway, there should be an option for ringtone. This is on 2.1, but I'm hoping that if you are running 2.2, it will be roughly the same.
