THX for the link. I'd all but forgot/gave up on ever seeing this come to market, but, here it is. Glad I resisted the urge to order one of the generic battery charger cases.
I'll post a review when it arrives (ETA 11/28/12),however,the white one is now in stock.

I loved my Mophie on my iPhone 4S, however $100 for the GS3 juice pack just seems crazy. Guess I've been spoiled with $25 for the Hyperion 4000mah bat and case and it's impressive results.

It was probably a generic one,not a MOPHIE.I'm not a slave to labels,brands,etc....,but,most battery pack cases have horrible ratings from the customers,so,I've steered clear of everything but the MOPHIE,which has been a huge success w/another popular phone that we won't mention here.........

Got the MOPHIE BATTERY CASE yesterday & on day 2 of use,so far I am very satisfied with the results.
First, the fit & finish is top-notch & the case provides excellent protection as most other cases do.
For those looking for an ultra-thin solution to extended batteries:
W/the exception of the DROID RAZR MAXX/HD MAXX, it doesn't exist. Contrary to some write-ups on this case, it isn't dainty by any stretch of the imagination . Overall thickness is equal to that of the other extended batteries & accompanying TPU cases avaliable. So, for those seeking the "Thin is in" solution, this isn't it, just save your money & buy a 2nd standard battery to carry around to avoid the wall outlet search in the middle of the day.
The box/packaging states that the case comes pre-charged & the indicator lights showed as much . Also, no pre-conditioning is necessary or mentioned,another plus.
One more benefit of the MOPHIE case vs. most other generic battery cases:
This one DOES NOT OVERHEAT during use or charging.
First day results were OK, but, day two is proving to be better due to the following:
On day one, I followed the manufacturers recommendation by having the case in stand-by mode & not activating the battery case until the phones' battery runs low (I ran it down to 10%).
This also seems to contradict another statement that MOPHIE gives wherein they state the battery case juice is not as efficient while charging the phone . Total run time seemed to back up this theory.
So, I did things a bit different on Day 2:
I again started out w/a fully charged standard battery & charged the case separately overnight (w/the provided USB cord).
However, this time, I opted for activating the battery case & use all of its juice & then run on the phone battery thereafter.
I got about 6.5 hrs out of the battery pack before the stock phone battery took over. I'm currently on the 3rd hr. of use on the stock battery w/76% remaining.
As my battery life seems to be on the low end of the spectrum as compared to others who've posted in the SGS III forum,most can expect even better results.
I'm confident this MOPHIE BATTERY CASE, albeit a bit pricey, is a solid investment for anyone desiring longer than stock battery life. It has a 1yr warranty & most certainly the pricing should drop, just like everything else after initial release.
I'll update this review after a few days of use during a work/commute day.

Ultra thin? Not that I see. To each their own but you know what also doubles battery time and adds absolutely no weight or bulk to the phone.... an extra battery! For $100 I could buy 4!

Wow, thanks so much for your insightful contributions to the thread, albeit seems I've heard the same things echoed somewhere just recently.............
the power skin extended battery case? New user so I can't post the link but the company is power skin. I'm looking into either getting an extended battery or an extended battery case like this that charges your phone. My only reason for not buying an extended battery is because there aren't many cases for them that I like but I like the look of this case as well as the power skin one. The extended batteries claim to double your battery life while cases like this only extend for an extra 60% or so? Any feedback?

The MOPHIE battery case essentially doubles the battery life.It has a 2300 mAh battery implanted into the case & w/a week of use,I can verify that the MOPHIE does indeed stand up to that claim.

Yeah, get it. It's the best value around for extended batteries. I've got one of these as well, & it makes it through a 10± hr. workday w/commute time & still a bit of juice to spare.

There are a lot of different one's on the market, but I'm a impulse buyer and ended up getting it cause it was there. It really is awesome looking.
I noticed that you have Gorilla Gadget 4500 MAH extened batterty, and I do as well. We have the exact same batteries I think lol. I think your phone may be as bad as mine at sucking battery power.
The Mophie is a very smooth looking case, but the extended battery case is alot smaller in size and maybe about the same width. However the Mophie is a very good phone protector. It protects the sides and sticks out a bit in the front for screen protection, while the Gorilla Gadget is just a battery cover.
I paid a crazy $99.00 for it. It is however top notch material. I mean the material is the best I have ever seen and protects the phone completely.
Now that you have had time with it, do you recommend using the case battery first, or the phone battery? The instructions say to finish the phone battery first, but it seemed like in your post that your results may have been different.

It sounds as if you've interpreted the recommendations just as I have,w/the information contradicting itself. I've tried both methods & definitely get better life when draining the case first, then, the battery.
As for the GG 4500 battery,I do like the overall size & fit & I recommend getting the available TPU case from GORILLA GADGETS. It doesn't add too much to the overall size but provides great protection & surprisingly looks great for a TPU case.
The same exact TPU case can be purchased from a company named YESOO on AMAZON for about $10.
