Samsung Galaxy S2 - disable internet access

I am a novice of Smart phones, so please bear with me. I need to use my phone, but only occasionally do I need internet access. Is there any way that I can program my phone to do this? I know I can use the Flight Mode, but this disables the phone as well, which is not what I want.

You could post your question in your devices forum where you're sure to get answers there. :) You could also try Rush's idea. :)
