Samsung Galaxy S2 Functions

Hi,

I am looking for the following two features in Samsung Galaxy S2:
(1) From where can I turn ON the spot light. People use it in the dark to find something e.g. to open the door lock in the dark.
(2) From where can I look for the Android market application updates manually? In my phone, after certain days, it is showing in the notification window that I got updates from the following applications. Where can I check manually when ever I want?

Thanks in advance.

For 2), open the Market application, then tap the menu key and select "My Apps"; it'll show a list of all your installed apps, and tell you of any updates available.

1) Search for Tiny flashlight + LED on the android market. You can activate it with a widget, or since the last update without unlocking the phone, just by shaking the phone on the lockscreen

As above for a handy light or simply search for the term flashlight in the app market, there are plenty of free ones.

I use widgetsoid2.x from the market which I use as a widget with controls for locking the phone, turning on the flashlight, running apps, it really is awesome.

Takes a little setting up but is well worth it.
