Samsung Galaxy S2 internal storage problem

jccating

Lurker
I've been using my phone for about 5 months but recently I faced a problem with the internal storage of my phone.
I have a total space of 1.97GB for my internal storage, apps used up 601MB and it says I only have 216MB available. Adding up the apps and available spaces, I should have about 1GB left. I don't know where it go and I can't update my apps now due to the insufficient space. So does anyone know how I can deal with this problem?

Thanks a lot for your time.

Welcome to the forums.
May I ask what variant of the s2 is it you have.

Have you tried moving all the available apps to the SD card and I would just like to point out that all your storage is never available as some of it is used up by stuff like the operating system. For example my 8gb nexus 4 comes with only 6gb out of the box.

Welcome to AF jccating. :hello: What Liam_210 is a god idea. Trying moving all of your apps except the ones that have widgets to the external sd-card and that should give you more free space.

I have a related problem but can't seem to find anything on the forum about it. Maybe this gang can help?

Not super-tech-savvy so apologies in advance.

I have Samsung Galaxy S Blaze. Keep being told I don't have enough memory...but I have an 8G micro SD card. I moved a lot of stuff on there but still, nothing helped. Got Airdroid to help move stuff to computer and discovered that the phone seems to think I have only about 1.4G on the card (and it is totally full).

Is this a problem with the card I have? Is this something I need to fix on the phone?

I made sure the card was mounted...whatever that means.

THANKS!!
