Can someone please help me. I got the phone 2 weeks ago but I haven't really used it that much. Today I connected it to my laptop for the first time and then I installed from the google store, a game and then a book. I'm not sure where to find the stuff on my phone. I've checked settings--->application, the things I downloaded are not even listed.

I've been trying to find it for almost an hour now, so it's not like I haven't tried.

Well you don't need to connect your Android phone to your computer to download games.

Did you download these games from the Google Play store on your phone or did you download them from the Google Store (ie the Chrome Store)?

If you downloaded them on your phone they will be in your app drawer.

I think I figured out what the problem was. I didn't leave time for the app to finish installing before I disconnected fom my laptop.
Question: Do I always have to have internet connection to use my apps? This is my first smartphone so I don't really know these things.

Not sure why you are connecting your phone to your laptop to install apps as this is not required on Android. You just go to the Play Store on your phone and can download/install apps right from there.

And some apps do require an internet connection to use them, but as long as your phone has a data plan or available wi-fi you will be connected 99% of the time.

I install apps onto my phone while my sister is playing Temple run on it in the other room.

The phone does not require a connection to a laptop to install. In fact, connecting to a laptop will not affect app installation in any way whether detrimental or not. As long as the phone is connected to the internet, the app will install. If its not connected to the internet, even if you plug it into your laptop, nothing will install.
